Don't Think Twice It's All Right: Bob Dylan, the Early Years by Andy Gill,

Don't Think Twice It's All Right: Bob Dylan, the Early Years by Andy Gill,
With the Grammy Award winning album of the year in 1998 Time Out of Mind, Bob Dylan continues to extend the boundaries of his art - the Dylan of the sixties remains a beacon of integrity to which fans and fellow musicians keep returning. Dylan was a painfully honest songwriter, whether reflecting upon the charged political situation of the time, or upon his own turbulent personal life. Through these songs, he sent coded messages to his legion of fans, who eagerly attempted to decipher them for clues as to his intentions and character. In this book Andy Gill assesses the circumstances behind Dylan's most famous songs, tracing the artist's progress from young tyro folkie to acclaimed protest singer, and through the subsequent changes which saw him invent folk-rock and transform rock 'n roll with symbolist poetry, before experimenting with country-rock just as his followers were beginning to tune into the explosion of psychedelia in the late sixties.

Iron Cowboy / Ramblin Man
Iron Cowboy / Ramblin Man
Double Feature includes "Iron Cowboy" and "Ramblin Man" "Iron Cowboy" - "Iron Cowboy" is an off beat romantic comedy about opposites who attract while living through the hurly-burly schedule of a film shoot. Arriving in Mexico to work as an editor on a film, a young cosmopolitan city woman (Barbara Loden) surprises herself and everyone else when she finds herself falling for a handsome and charismatic ranch hand (Burt Reynolds) who is working as a driver during the film's location shoot. Initially drawn together due to the "anything goes" sense of location shooting, the pair quickly discover that despite their differences they are forging a serious connection. But are they going to make it past the final reel? Showcasing standout performance from its two talented leads, "Irony Cowboy" is also notable for its star cameos by the likes of Terence Stamp and Sally Kirkland. "Ramblin Man" - Imagine the antics of "Smokey And The Bandit" crossed with the cowboy code of the old Wild West and you have "Ramblin' Man." Jumping a freight train to head for the coast, Midwestern transplants Will (Tom Selleck) and J.D. (Jerry Reed) accidentally end up in Nashville, Tennessee. The accidents continue as the hapless pair is mistaken for private investigators by a young woman (Morgan Fairchild) who is searching for her missing sister. Will and J.D. need the work, so they take her up on it, regardless of the fact that they know next to nothing about hunting down missing, would-be country singers. The case takes Will and J.D. through Nashville's country music scene, brushing shoulders with a great assortment of C&W talent, such as Barbara Mandrell, Roy Acuff, and Ray Stevens. The two men encounter adventures galore and meet a ton of memorable characters in this high-spirited, rip-roaring cowboy romp. Now if they could only solve the case. Packaging Type is Side-by-Side.
